September Beauty Products Review

Over the summer I started writing monthly posts including all the beauty products I tried for the first time that month, rating them, and sharing prices and my opinions. Here is the September edit!

5 Star

  • Wet n Wild liquid Eyeliner ($5) I am so obsessed with this liquid eyeliner, I will def be repurchasing this before the stila one because it is so good and you can’t beat $5!
  • Essence Earth Eyeshadow Palette ($10) I am super impressed with this $10 eyeshadow palette! Looks so pretty and natural and stays all day.
  • Hello Body Lip Scrub ($14 with code COLLEEN) Works to exfoliate lips and make them soft! Also is pink haha!
  • Hello Body Coco Rich Lip Balm ($14 with code COLLEEN) So hydrating for dried lips! Plus it smells good.
  • Benefit BadGal Bang Mascara ($25) I had been wanting to try this mascara for months and finally bought it during the Sephora sale. I do think it works really well to add length and and volume but I still like the Benefit They’re Real! to keep lashes separate. I like the BadGal Bang because I don’t feel like I need to apply 4 layers of different mascaras to get the effect I want.
  • Tanceuticals Face tanning Lotion ($20) Tanceuticals sent me some products with no strings attached, and I am SO impressed! Other tanners break out the skin on my face but this face lotion does not do that.
  • Tanceuticals Tanning Mitt ($7) If you don’t use a tanning mitt to apply self tanner, I highly recommend doing so! It makes the process SO much easier and faster and makes for an even tan. This mitt is super soft and pink!!
  • Tanceuticals Body Lotion ($27) I love how easy this lotion is to apply and how natural it looks. Also it doesn’t get patchy after a few days like the Isle of Paradise drops do.
  • Hello Body Coco Clear Mask + Brush Set ($32 with code COLLEEN)
  • Tula Pumpkin Scrub ($28 with code COLLEENCOOK) I am obsessed with this pumpkin scrub for fall! It smells good enough to eat haha, and is the best exfoliator to make my skin clean and soft!
  • Tula Enzyme Mask ($31 with code COLLEENCOOK) This has helped the texture of my skin – makes it softer and smoother!
  • Beyond Hair Clip in Extensions ($180-$700) I in the process of writing a dedicated blog post about my clip ins, but I am absolutely LOVING them! I have the Light Blonde in the 20″ classic set.
  • Jill Stuart Beauty Lip Blossom Lipstick ($19 with code COLLEEN20) My new favorite lip sticks because the colors are gorgeous and it stays for hours.
  • Jill Stuart Blush Compact ($30 with code COLLEEN20) I think it is genius to make a blush compact – each one has 5 different colors and you can mix them. So pretty!
  • Jill Stuart Eyeshadow Palette ($38 with code COLLEEN20) The colors in the compact are so pretty and perfect for fall.
  • Color Wow Raise the Root Thicken and Lift Spray ($24) I have naturally fine hair and this spray helps to make my hair look fuller while still keeping it feeling soft.
  • Color Wow Dream Cocktail Carb Infused Leave – In ($24) This also adds softness and volume!

4 Star

  • Ofra Eyeshadow color ($24) This was my first time trying out a liquid eyebrow gel – and I really like the shape I can achieve using it, but wish it came in a lighter shade!
  • Sol De Janeiro Body Scrub ($42) the only reason I gave this a 4 is because of the price. It smells sooo good, and works really well to soften and exfoliate skin.
  • Tula Golden Hour Glow stick ($27 with code COLLEENCOOK) Tula’s newest eye balm! I like this one because it targets dark circles and bags. Gives a subtle golden shine under your eyes!
  • Wet n Wild Break Up Proof Retractable Eyeliner ($3) Before trying this it had been years since I had used any type of non liquid eyeliner! I like the retractable pen but found it to be a tad difficult to use compared to the liquid. However, I think that is just me because I have only used the liquid one for years and it is an adjustment. If you’re not into liquid liner this is a great option and you really can’t beat the price.

3 Star

  • Color Wow Texture Spray ($24) This texture spray does wonders to add volume to my hair. However, I have only used it once or twice so far and sprayed it too close so it left it a little hard in some areas. I also think it takes the curl out a little, especially if you brush your hair after using it.

2 Star

  • No 2 star products this month either!

1 Star

  • Payout Paris Body Elixir Gold Body Scrub ($26) I had high hopes for this scrub 1. because a gold scrub sounds amazing and 2. I had tried Payot’s tanning lotion and loved it but this product was a disappointment. It smells really funky, which is one of the main reasons I don’t plan on using it a second time. I also don’t think it worked well. So, I would not recommend this!

And that commences my September Beauty Round-Up! Let me know if you have tried any of these products in the comments below! Be sure to check back next month for my October post.
