While I will never give up skinny jeans, I also LOVE my Free People flares! Here are a few tips to style them.
Why free people?
I never liked flare jeans until I saw the Free People ones. They have extra flare compared to the ones other brands sell. I never liked the semi flare jeans and always thought they were outdated. I feel like the Free People ones are more trendy and fun! I wear my normal size 24 and they fit perfectly.
If you’re worried about the price, they are actually on sale right now and go on sale pretty frequently, just not at the Free People site/store… I linked other retailers that have them on sale right now at the end of the post.
tips for styling flare jeans
- Your pants will look the best when they are just touching the ground. Know what shoes you plan on wearing a get your pants hemmed if you need to. (Although Free People makes short and long sizes). You don’t want to be tripping on them but you also don’t want them to be shorter than your shoes.
- You don’t need to be fall to pull off flares. I’m 5’3″ and paired with wedges, I look taller in my flare jeans.
- You can’t go wrong with a fitted tee! If you don’t know hat to wear, a basic fitted tee or tank Willa always work.

For white flare jeans, I like to wear pastel colored blouses. The blue one below is from Free People but I also linked a more affordable version from the Pink Lily Boutique. I think flows tops pair well with white flare jeans but a basic fitted tee or tank would work too. If you don’t know what tops to wear, Free People is a great resource because they have tops designed to be paired with their flare jeans.
