You may have noticed that I have been sharing and working with a lot more brands the past 4 weeks! Thanks to LadyBossBlogger.com, I now have the tools to make endless connections through social media.

Before completing the How to Make Money As An Influencer course, I was getting denied by every brand I reached out to – most of the time I would not even receive a response.

Since I have completed the class, I have been contacted by over 20 brands, with some being paid offers. This past year of blogging I have never had so many brands reach out in this short of time.

I have also reached out on my part a lot more as well, and most of the brands I have contacted have sent me products! Several brands have offered commission sales, which means I make a profit when someone uses my discount code or trackable link.

So, how has one blogging course helped me this much?

I can’t spill too many secrets, but here are some topics the class covers that have helped me make money as an influencer and increase the range of brands I work work:

• Use various social media platforms to promote posts

• The importance of having a blog
• How to set up an email list
• Passive income through blogging
• How to approach and contact brands

Another important piece of advice I have gained from the course is to take blogging seriously.

When you are professional and serious, brands will notice. Throughout the course, Elaine stresses the importance of being professional when contacting brands.

There is a lot of work you must put in in order to show brands you are serious about blogging. This includes having your own domain (like colleenccook.com). I also recently created an email specifically for blogging, which also shows brands that you take this job seriously.

This is important because brands are more wiling to work with you and pay you when you are professional.
