BECKHAM’S NURSERY

I’m so excited to share Beckham’s nursery! If you remember Tatum’s nursery this is very similar. We thankfully were able to repurpose almost everything, but did make a few changes to make it more suitable for a baby boy. Since he came a little early we had not even started working on the nursery until about a week after he was born – I painted the room myself one week post partum. I was a little worried the room would be too plain, but honestly I am so happy with how it turned out and love the simplicity!

Crib

Since we decided to keep Tatum in a crib when we moved her to the bedroom on the 3rd floor, we decided it would be easier to just keep her old crib and mattress in the nursery for Beckham. I did buy new crib sheets for him – I found the cutest cotton toile sheets from Amazon!

Above the crib was the perfect place for Beckham’s name announcement sign I ordered from Olive Branch Embroidery.

Glider Area

I love our glider so much, though I do wish I would have spent a little more money and chosen the automatic instead of the manual. The lever is a bit difficult for me to open when I am sitting with a sleeping baby in my arms. It is not smooth and Tatum always ended up waking up when I would close it. Aside from that it is super comfortable and I would still recommend it.

It is so convenient to have a table next to the glider for drinks, snacks and baby items. I found this one at Homegoods! It also works well as a holding place for Beckham’s milestone blocks.

Across from the glider are bookshelves I had chosen for Tatum’s nursery. With them being white and gold I felt they were neutral enough for Beckham’s room. Most of the books we had already but I added a few new ones from our local resale shops that matched the color scheme.

The elephant rocker was a gift to Tatum. I wanted a few of her things in the nursery since I knew we would be spending a lot of time in there. I also thought it fit well with the rest of the room.

Paint and Rug details

The paint color is called Pinch Me I’m Dreaming by valspar – I asked to mix with 50% white and it ended up being the perfect shade of blue. We had purchased this rug for Tatum’s play space in our living room, but decided to just move it to the nursery to avoid having to purchase another rug.

Dresser area

This area is exactly the same except I did swap out the knobs of the dresser back to the original ones.

We store diapers, wipes, swaddles, gowns, pajamas, and other accessories in the top drawer.
I use the second drawer to store extra clothes, accessories and burp clothes.
Extra diapers and wipes go in the bottom!

Closet

I kept the same storage system in the closet but swapped out the bins for blue ones I had been keeping in another closet. I stuffed a bunch of Tatum’s toys in the bins so she has things to play with when I’m nursing Beckham in the glider.
