My Top 5 Favorites from Tula

This was a hard post to write because there are so many Tula products I love! But if I could only choose 5 to keep, this would be my list.

WHY I LOVE IT:

If I could only choose one Tula product, it would be the Smoothing Primer Gel. I actually only use it on days I wear make up. I have not found another make up primer that remotely compares to this Tula one. It makes my foundation/make up go on sooo smoothly and last all day and night! I notice SUCH a dramatic difference compared to when I don’t use it. On those rare occasions I do forget to use it, I will literally re-do my make up haha. It is such a must-have if you wear foundation!

HOW I USE IT:

I always apply my Vitamin C Serum first (I just started using the Tula one). This helps to hydrate my skin and prepped for the primer – if I just apply the primer on bare, dry skin, it will not blend well. If you don’t use a vitamin Serum, you can use a moisturizer. The Tula one would work especially if you have dry skin – but I find that the Vitamin C Serum works better for me. I use about a pea sized amount – some feedback I have gotten is that people have trouble with it peeling off or don’t know how to apply it. My best advice is to always use a serum or moisturizer right before and only use a tiny amount. You really don’t need much for it to work! and it is easy to initially scoop out too much, however, I would only start with a tiny bit and add more as needed.

THE TEXTURE:

It is hard to explain the texture of the Primer Gel… first off it is NOT sticky whatsoever and you don’t need to wash it off your hands or anything. I really can’t think of a good comparison because it is so unique. But it feels really soft, and not oily or greasy or anything you would not want on your hands if that makes sense.

BOTTOM LINE:

If you are looking for a good primer for underneath make up, this is THE BEST! And such an underrated Tula product in my opinion!

WHY I LOVE IT:

I wear this primer on days I don’t wear any face make up! It is a REAL LIFE FACE FILTER and I did not even know this existed until I discovered Tula. This was one of the first of their products I tried!

HOW I USE IT:

This product can be used as a primer for foundation but I find that it does not last more than 5 or 6 hours so I don’t think it does a great job as a make primer. I really like to use it by itself on days I don’t want to put on a full face of make up. I use two pumps!

THE TEXTURE:

The Face Filter Primer is a different matter than the Smoothing Priming Gel. The Primer gel is solid and the Face Filter is liquid! It comes out a gray color but changes colors to match your skin tone when blended, which is like magic to me haha! It does give a slight tan look but still natural.

BOTTOM LINE:

If you don’t wear a lot of heavy make up but still want something to help you look presentable and blur out imperfections, this is the right product.

WHY I LOVE IT:

This moisturizer hydrates my skin without breaking me out. This is the first Tula product I ran out of! I used to have super oily skin, and as I get older it has become more dry. I feel like this would work for anyone with oily, normal, or combination skin.

HOW I USE IT:

I use this in the morning and in the evening.

THE TEXTURE:

I feel like this cream is the perfect happy medium between light and heavy.

BOTTOM LINE:

If you are looking for a good, everyday moisturizer, this is a great option.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I have never tried a face scrub like this one. First off it smells amazing, and is an excellent exfoliator. I like it because it also gets off all the dead skin to make my skin soft and smooth, so I feel like it makes a significant difference in the texture. It does not dry out my skin either!

HOW I USE IT:

I use this scrub 2-3x per week when I am in the shower – I just apply it to wet skin and rub it in with my fingertips, then rinse it off.

THE TEXTURE:

The texture of the Sugar Scrub is like a fine sugary scrub. It does not feel dry though!

BOTTOM LINE:

This sugar scrub is the perfect exfoliator because it removes dead skin, smoothes skin texture, and leaves skin hydrated.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I have never tried a product like this one before Tula. I have tried one of their other eye balms (the gold one) but I always reach for this first. It gives a cooling sensation, and helps me look and feel more awake. It helps to diminish under eye bags and is like a highlighter for your eye area. I was actually really hesitant but curious to try this, because I had heard mixed reviews. I didn’t think it would actually work haha! I am glad I was wrong.

HOW I USE IT:

This eye balm can be used around the entire eye area but I just apply one or two swooshes to my under eyes. Takes no time! Also I am still on the same tube I got in March so it lasts foreverrr!

THE TEXTURE:

The texture is like a hydrated highlighter stick – that’s the closest thing I can think of. It is not sticky at all, and has the prettiest iridescent glow to it!

BOTTOM LINE:

If you are looking for a product that minimizes dark circles and makes you feel and look more awake, the Rose Glow and Get It Eye Balm is a must-have!
