21 favorite purchases of 2021

As much as I love shopping, I am very thoughtful when it comes to making purchases! I am very picky when it comes to clothing, decor, really anything that goes into my home. While I did buy a lot of new clothing etc this past year there are a few items that have stood out the most/that I have gotten the most use out of. this year I also made a few splurge purchases so I will be sharing short reviews of them throughout this post.

Hands down this my most used purchase from 2021! I literally use it every single day and do not regret buying it one bit. This was a splurge, however I do think it is worth it. I love it so much. It has been SO helpful for everyday use on my computer, blogging, and wedding planning. It is the perfect size and I love that I have a little corner to focus on my blog.

Up until this past year I had not used a setting spray. However I kept getting noticing my make up transferring to my face masks and that’s when I thought about trying setting spray. I had heard amazing things about the Charlotte Tilbury one so I decided to give that a try and I love it! It makes my make up stay on so much longer and keeps my foundation from transferring to my masks.

Okay this was another splurge purchase and the only thing I bought in November and December combined. I plan on writing a complete review later on but so far but I love them and now want another pair! they are so comfortable and I am anticipating them lasting many years.

This is such a simple device but it has been so helpful. I don’t have to wait two days for my foundation burgess to try – it dries smaller brushes instantly and larger brushes in seconds. However I usually let the bigger ones lay out for a couple hours to get all the moisture out. It’s affordable and easy to use, I only wish I had gotten it sooner!

5-6. Amazon Ring cleaners

This ring pen is perfect for everyday use and easy to take on-the-go. for a more thorough clean, I like to use this machine from Amazon. It gets jewelry super clean and you can clean multiple pieces at once. It only takes 90 seconds!

I finally converted to wearing bodysuits after seeing this one. I wanted a cute top I could wear to a nice restaurant for dinner or out to a bar in the cold and this one is perfect.

Tula released their lip balm line a few months and and I have been obsessed since. My favorite shade is “pink coconut” and you can use code COLLEENCOOK for 15% off your purchase at Tula.

After my flimsy tripod broke after falling over so many times, I finally gave in and purchased this sturdier tripod. It has been a necessity for blogging!

I hate when I pull out a hair tie… along with a few strands of hair LOL. I like these scrunchies because I never lose any hair. They’re super soft but hold my hair up all day long!

I wear this sweatshirt multiple times every week! It’s so comfortable. I got the size small because the XS was sold out but I would say stick to your normal size. I’m eyeing the periwinkle color and can’t believe it is still in stock!

12-13. Vacuums

These two vacuums have been so convenient – I can’t believe we used to use vacuums with cords! The big Eufy one is perfect for both rugs and hard floors and the handheld one is great for cars and small spaces.

I discovered these barrettes early in the year and ended up purchasing several more when they went on sale during the Nordstrom Sale this past summer. I wear them to work and when I’m at the apartment and occasionally out if I’m our running errands or for a casual setting.

the exact pair of gold hoop earrings I have is sold out – they are Kendra Scott and I found them for under $15 at Nordstrom Rack! I was actually hesitant to purchase them at first but was drawn to them because one of my friends has a very similar pair she wears all the time. I decided to give them a try and I have actually gotten so much use out of them, I am so glad I bought them! I wore them out to dinner tonight – they go with everything and can be worn with a casual or dressy outfit. Linking a similar pair here!

I received this facial cleanser as a gift for a paid campaign. It’s different than my old device because it has so many different customizable settings and it’s easier to hold. It gets my face so much cleaner and my skin is always smoother after using it.

I have tried about 6 Olaplex products now and this is one of my favorites. It leaves my hair so soft! I usually apply it like conditioner in the shower and leave it on for 10 minutes.

I only just started using these socks from Lululemon in December, but they have quickly become my favorite socks. They’re comfortable, don’t fall down in my shoes and lightweight.

I know this is such a small product to add to this list but switching to a glass nail file has made such a difference in my nails! You need to get this if you don’t have one.

I bought these earrings at the Kendra Scott store in Georgetown, during my first trip there with Ryan. I can’t link them since they are customizable, but I will leave the link to the colorbar where you can create your own piece of jewelry online.

I have a different pair of slippers so this was not a necessary purchase, but I am actually really glad I ended up buying these. They are super easy to slide on and off and perfect for working at my desk in the apartment. Plus, they’re really cute!
