I get a lot of questions regarding my tanning routine so I figured I would share! to be honest, I don’t have much tanning experience – I’ve never been to a tanning booth or gone spray tanning, and I was even hesitant to try a self tanner. But, I had heard amazing things about the Isle of Paradise Self Tanning Drops so I decided to just go for it and try it out.
Isle Of Paradise Tanning Drops
I mix 3 drops into my moisturizer! I mix with body lotion when applying to the rest of my body. I buy mine at Sephora – it consistently sells out but is available at the time being! Comes in 3 different shades and I use the darkest one (the purple bottle).
I love it for the following reasons:
- Smells good
- Do not stain anything like clothing fabric etc
- Do not make you orange (unless you use an excessive amount lol)
- Only need a few drops!
- Is relatively inexpensive – much cheaper than getting a tan!! (Each bottle is $29 but lasts me months!)
- Super easy to use
- Takes about 10 minutes to cover your body
- Looks very natural!
- Does not look splotchy
- Do not require a mitt to apply (I use my hands and just wash them after)
- Has coconut, avocado, and chia seed oils with vitamins – I have oily skin but it does not make my skin oily at all!
- I feel like I don’t need to apply foundation as often because it literally makes my skin look good on its own!
Tan Towel Towelettes
I recently discovered these tanning towelettes. Each wipe comes in an individual package. I only use these on my legs because they clog my pores everywhere else lol. They are a but pricier than the isle of paradise in my opinion because a box of 15 towelettes is $30 but I would use one towelette per body part, like one for each leg. They are easier to use, simpler, and take less time. You can find them at Ulta.
Hope this helps answer some of your questions abut my self tanning routine! Leave any other questions below.
