HOW TO CREATE AN AESTHETIC BATHROOM
Ryan and I went from having two bathrooms with three full sinks to sharing one small bathroom with just one sink, so I had to get creative with storage. Of course I still wanted it to look pretty, so with a little help from a few of my favorite stores I was able to create an organized, aesthetic bathroom and I am so excited to share how you can too in just 3 easy steps!
Step 1: Decide on a theme
I kind of went for a gold and orange theme with my bathroom, which I will say I am not usually a fan of the color orange but found a few decor items I LOVED so I took a chance and am so happy with how everything turned out! When I was trying to decide on a theme for our bathroom, I started with the shower curtain. In a smaller bathroom, this really will be the biggest eye catcher so I decided to center everything else around that item. Our shower curtain, towels and bath mat are all from Anthropologie. I would recommend sticking to one site if you are overwhelmed with trying to coordinate the bigger items. This way, your space will look more cohesive and will be easier to order all the products.
It looks like my exact shower curtain is currently unavailable, but I will link similar options.
Step 2: Only keep pretty things out
This is another of my biggest pieces of advice when it comes to creating an aesthetic bathroom. Only keep pretty items out! If there are products you must keep your on your counter (for me, it’s my washcloths, perfume, and make up brushes) that may not look great sitting by themselves, find pretty displays to keep them in. I found the gold wire rack on Amazon and it holds all my washcloths so I can easily access them. I got lucky when I found the gold Kendra Scott tray on Nordstrom Rack’s site last year, but I will link similar ones. Amazon has many affordable options that would also work as beautiful displays for make up.
I would still try to limit what you keep out on the counter space. If it can get put away or is ugly (for example Ryan’s mouthwash…) it has to go! (or get hidden underneath the counter which I will address in Step 3).
Step 3: Invest in acrylic organizers and pretty make up bags
These acrylic organizers not only keep my bathroom organized – they save space, make everything look prettier and more accessible, and they help decrease my anxiety LOL. I can’t imagine just randomly throwing everything in all the drawers – I would be so stressed trying to find things! They can also protect your furniture. Since they are acrylic, if products leak or spill, they are easy to clean up and don’t ruin your drawers. I found mine on Amazon and Target.
I also recommend using pretty make up bags – I know many of us have plenty we are not using or even travel pouches would work too. These can be used to store not so pretty things or just items of the same category – for example, I keep my cotton balls in a make up bag and my travel sized products in another case. It just helps keep everything together and is way prettier than keeping the cotton balls in the ugly plastic bag they come in!

- Pottery Barn (towels, organizers, furniture)
- Pottery Barn Teen organizers, furniture)
- Amazon (organizers)
- Serena and Lily (linen, furniture)
- Kendra Scott (decor, organizers)
- Target (decor, organizers)
